Ahhh, a trip down memory lane
. At first it was hard to remember what the hell I was doing after so many years of using GUI’s (had initially started this task using Telnet.exe). After a while of pulling hair and banging the desktop I finally managed to connect, which of course was when I remembered an old favourite of the past, HyperTerminal. For those of you who have enough programs on your computer already, and just want a simple Telnet program that does the job with an easy to use GUI, just look under Start>All programs>Accessories>Communications and you’ll find it already there. I’ve made a small tute on how to use it, you’ll find the link to the page over on the right.
What gave me a real giggle though was forgetting that WebCT mail is not our mail! After sending the mail print request and checking the mail tab on WebCt numerous times with increasing frustration, the little bell inside my head rang and got me to log into Oasis. There in the inbox was the offending e-mail much to my relief and rapidly calming emotional state, lol. So as you can see below, all’s well and good….now onto Task B, lol.
